Helping the Roco Family

When Aiden Roco was born at just 26 weeks, weighing under two pounds, his family was thrown into a journey no parent can ever be fully prepared for. Since his birth in April 2025, Aiden has remained in the hospital, facing serious medical complications, multiple surgeries, and life-saving interventions.

At just over a year old, he has already spent his entire life surrounded by monitors and medical teams.

Originally from Red Deer, Aiden’s family has been living through the emotional and financial strain that comes with a long and uncertain hospital stay. His mom, Mayona, has been by his side since the beginning, rarely leaving the hospital while focusing all of her energy on her baby’s care. His dad, Rudymor, continues to work full-time while making every effort to visit on his days off, relying on paid rides to travel back and forth.

At home, their 17-year-old son, Aldrin, is also carrying the weight of this difficult time as the family tries to stay connected.

Even with incredible determination, the pressure on the Roco family has been overwhelming.

Lost income, travel costs, household expenses, and existing debt have all added to the burden while Aiden remains in critical condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Through it all, Aiden’s parents have done everything they can to protect their family’s stability, always putting essentials first and continuing to show remarkable strength in the face of constant uncertainty.

This is where Community Key stepped in, helping ease some of the financial pressure surrounding Aiden’s hospitalization so his family can stay focused on what matters most: being present for their son.

Aiden’s story is still unfolding, and his road ahead remains uncertain. But the love surrounding him is clear in every part of his family’s journey. As Mayona and Rudymor continue to stand by their son through each procedure, setback, and small step forward, they do so with the reminder that they are not carrying this alone.

We're honoured to help families like the Rocos, helping make space for hope even in the hardest moments.
